One session at a time

My vision is to provide you with a safe and comforting space where you can express yourself in an authentic way, free of judgment. When I am working with people, I like to keep it real, I want to get a sense of who you are as a person and what makes you wonderfully unique, so we can tailor therapy to your personal needs. There will be times when the journey will be difficult, but I will be there to support you, I will help you face difficult thoughts and emotions, encourage you to work towards your goals, and help celebrate your achievements. Together we will influence your mind to work for you and not against you.

Meet Vanessa

Vanessa Klayh, RN BN, MACP, CCC

Vanessa completed a Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Honors. She has over 15 years of experience of working with individuals and families in helping professions.

Like many others, I have felt broken and hopeless, like I am not good enough. But I also know how it feels to be seen, heard, and accepted for who I am. My personal experiences with depression, trauma, and challenging life events led me to seek out the help of a professional who truly saved my life. She provided me with a safe space where I could be vulnerable, gave me strength, courage, and the tools I needed to not only overcome difficulties in my life, but to thrive. She helped shape me into the person I am today. So much meaning and purpose in my life comes from helping people like you navigate challenging life experiences, overcome difficult emotions, and by helping to empower you to live the life you deserve and aspire to have. Talking with another person, sharing your story, and trusting someone with your deepest thoughts and feelings is a powerful and brave step towards healing. In therapy, you will gain insight into your personal values and beliefs, explore how you interact with and relate to others and self. It will be a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Vanessa uses Integrative psychotherapy which is an individualized and holistic approach to therapy that combines different schools of theory. There is not one single psychotherapeutic approach that is effective for all clients, concerns, or circumstances which makes integrative therapy an ideal choice; it seeks to promote an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical health. An integrative approach is used to treat a range of psychological issues, and can be used with all ages, individuals, couples, families, or groups.
